The Navajo Hopi Health Foundation is holding the Annual Gala on Saturday, December 5, 2026 to raise money for our hospital’s ongoing needs. The Gala is a fun, glamorous and exciting night of dancing, entertainment, and laughs.
Volunteers contribute their time to prepare for this event. Our guests include business and community leaders, and donors who will gather for this fun-filled evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
- ALL donations are tax deductable.
- ALL proceeds go directly to the Navajo Hopi Foundation’s various hospital projects.

This milestone event benefits our local hospital, Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, and supports its mission to provide exceptional, compassionate health care to the Navajo, Hopi, and San Juan Southern Paiute communities.

MASQUERADE BALL 2025
The Navajo Hopi Health Foundation is thrilled to announce our 9th Annual Gala & Auction to be held December 6, 2025, at the Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort, Flagstaff, Arizona. This annual fundraising event is dedicated to supporting the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) in its mission to provide exceptional patient care to the Native American communities of the Navajo, Hopi, and San Juan Southern Paiute.
Thank You to our sponsors for a memorable evening with festive décor, a delicious dinner, lively dancing, and the opportunity to bid on unique pieces of art in our silent auction. This year, our gala event was themed as a Masquerade Ball. We have reached out to organizations that share our compassion and invited each one to partner with us to improve healthcare for the most vulnerable in the rural region of the Western Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona.
Our gala funds have been used to purchase medical equipment such as bilirubin monitors for our newborns, infant warmers to save lives of our critically ill newborn patients, and physical rehab machines to help patients rebuild their strength and mobility, to name a few. Our sponsors have been a part of saving lives and helping our family and friends in their recovery.

RUN FOR HOPE 2025
Supporting Cancer Care at TCRHCC
A special thanks to our participants and sponsors for helping to make Run for Hope a successful event. It was a beautiful sunny day beginning with a bright and early morning and a smell of fresh rain from the prior day. Our participants were ready with their laces up to run on behalf of a loved one that had faced cancer. We strived to make an emphasis on the importance of screening for cancer and sharing a wealth of information welcoming TJ Riggs, the Oncology Services Program Director at the Specialty Care Center and Janice Whiterock, Program Manager for Cancer Support Community at Tuba City Regional Health Care.
Signage with tips on ways to prevent cancer was placed along the 3K, 5K and 10K routes with water stations in key areas. Run for Hope is a non-competitive race and with the help of Coconino County Board of Supervisors, we gave our participants fresh fruits, granola snacks and hydration drinks upon reaching the finish line. Hogan Espresso made a donation of a limited supply of tote bags that were given to our 5K and 10K runners. We are especially grateful to our T-shirt sponsor, Loven Contracting, for allowing us to give T-shirts to our participants.
This is the Navajo Hopi Health Foundation’s 4th Annual Run for Hope event, which began in 2019. It is a collaborative fundraising effort, and we only want to continue to grow stronger every year to give our participants a memorable experience.

2018 Madeleine Gross Family Scholarship Recipient
The Madeleine Gross Family Scholarship program started in 2017 and is administered by the Navajo Hopi Health Foundation. The $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a high school Senior from the Tuba City high schools. The students write an essay of overcoming a hardship in their lives and how their winning attitude prevailed as they focused on acquiring a college education. Thank you to the Madeleine Gross Family for encouraging our children to pursue college degrees by providing this scholarship opportunity.
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 scholarship program was deferred. Instead, the administrator of the Madeleine Gross family elected to award all four former scholarship recipients; so, each student received $1,250 for their college school year. Best wishes to each student from the Navajo Hopi Health Foundation.

Honoring Exceptional Physicians in Rural HealthCare
Navajo Hopi Health Foundation Thomas J. Drouhard, M.D. Provider of the Year Award recognizes physicians whose dedication, talents and skills have improved the lives of countless patients and communities in the Tuba City Service Unit, which includes Cameron, Gap/Bodaway, Coppermine, Coalmine, Kaibeto, LeChee, Tonalea, Tuba City, and lower and upper Moenkopi.
Our doctors know their patients personally and dedicate themselves to the care of the community. To honor these exceptional physicians and recognize their continuing contribution to rural healthcare, the Navajo Hopi Health Foundation is proud to sponsor the Thomas J. Drouhard M.D., Provider of the Year Award.
This prestigious award is presented every year in December at the Winter Gala to a TCRHCC physician.
